What are flannelette sheets?

Flannelette sheets (can also be called flannel sheets) are made out of cotton, and is a soft sheet that has a slightly fuzzy feel, and has a denser weave compared to regular cotton sheets. This causes more heat to be trapped and keep you warm throughout the night. The brushed cotton material provides the thickness and also the loved softness and cosiness that people know and love.

So why are they so good for winter?

If you have ever felt cold at night during winter, it's probably because you don't have enough layers. The more layers you have on your bed, the more heat stays trapped and keeps you warm as you sleep. Some people though dislike the feeling of having many layers on top of them, so a solution is to have denser material bedding on top of you to keep you warm. Flannelette sheets are perfect at this as they are made from brushed cotton. Lightweight but will still trap heat in, keeping you warm.

When would you use flannelette sheets?

We would recommend that you use flannel sheets whenever you start to feel cold at night! For most people that's autumn moving into winter, but if you have trouble regulating your body temperature throughout the year, some people sleep with flannelette sheets all the time!
